Since the beginning of the day, there have been 84 combat engagements between Ukrainian defenders and Russian forces. Fighting is still ongoing in five sectors of the front, with the highest enemy activity reported in the Pokrovsk sector.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
From its own territory, Russian forces shelled a number of border settlements in Ukraine, including Myropilske, Shevchenkove Pershe, Prokhody, Novodmytrivka, Maryine, Starykove, Dmytrivka, Oleksandrivka, Uhroidy, Stepok, and Chuikivka in Sumy region.
In the Kharkiv sector, the Russian invaders attempted to break through Ukrainian defensive lines near Vovchansk but were repelled.
In the Kupiansk sector, Russian troops made three attempts to advance in the areas of Kolisnykivka and Zahryzove. Ukrainian defense forces stopped them.
In the Lyman sector, the enemy attacked six times near Nove, Novomykhailivka, Zelena Dolyna, Torske, and toward Hryhorivka. Three clashes are still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the Ukrainian defenders repelled one Russian attack toward Bila Hora.
In the Toretsk sector, Russian troops attacked nine times near Ozarianivka, Krymske, Druzhba, and Toretsk. Two clashes are still underway.
In the Pokrovsk sector, since the beginning of the day, Russians have made 25 attempts to push Ukrainian forces from their positions near Shevchenkove Pershe, Myroliubivka, Yelyzavetivka, Malynivka, Lysivka, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, Troitske, Kotliarivka, and Andriivka. Ukrainian forces are holding their ground as 21 attacks have already been repelled. Four clashes are still in progress. The settlement of Dovha Balka was hit by an enemy airstrike.
In the Novopavlivka sector, Russian forces attacked 13 times near Novopil, Zelene Pole, Vilne Pole, Bahatyr, Vesele, and Burlatske. One engagement is still ongoing.
In the Huliaipole sector, the Russian invaders launched unguided rockets near Zaliznychne.
In the Orikhiv sector, Russian troops attempted three times to advance near Stepove and toward Novodanylivka. Ukraine’s forces stopped them.
In the Prydniprovske sector, Russian forces made one unsuccessful assault attempt.
In the Kursk sector, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 19 enemy attacks throughout the day. Three more clashes are ongoing. Russian forces launched five guided aerial bombs in this area and carried out 160 shellings, including nine with multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Huliaipole and Siversk sectors, the invaders did not conduct active offensive operations.
There were no significant changes in the situation along other directions of the front.
As Ukrinform previously reported, in the Novopavlivka sector, Russian forces are regrouping in preparation to intensify their assault operations.
