The international community must intensify pressure on Russia to secure an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine.
This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on social media platform X, Ukrinform reports.
“A difficult Sunday morning in Ukraine after a sleepless night. The most massive Russian air attack in many weeks lasted all night. Russia launched hundreds of drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles into Ukrainian cities and communities during the night, injuring and killing people, including at least three children,” the minister emphasized.
According to Sybiha, while the world is calling for an end to the killing, Putin orders even more strikes, attacks, and murder of children.
“This once again emphasizes the imperative of a full, unconditional, and durable ceasefire for any meaningful peace effort. The world must pressure Russia to accept it and put an end to the killings immediately,” he stressed.
As previously reported, during the night of May 25, Russia launched a massive combined strike on Ukraine. A total of 367 drones and missiles were used against Kyiv and other cities. Ukrainian air defenses shot down 45 cruise missiles and neutralized 266 drones.
There were casualties and destruction across multiple regions. Children were among the victims.
