Thanks to the assistance of the State of Qatar, 68 Ukrainian children have been returned home.
Dmytro Lubinets, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, announced the news on his Telegram channel, as reported by Ukrinform.
“I met with the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Ukraine, Hadi Nasser Al-Hajr. First and foremost, I expressed my gratitude to Qatar for its effective and invaluable support in the return and rehabilitation of Ukrainian children. In total, 68 children have been brought home thanks to Qatar’s assistance,” Lubinets stated.
According to him, the discussion also covered the recent exchange of prisoners, the return of civilians illegally detained by Russia, and the issue of Ukrainian children’s deportation.

Additionally, both parties explored further cooperation, including efforts to return more Ukrainian children, rehabilitate victims, and support deported women and children.
“I firmly believe that Ukraine and Qatar will continue to cooperate based on the principles of human rights and mutual respect. I am sincerely grateful to Qatar for its invaluable assistance,” Lubinets emphasized.
As reported by Ukrinform, Lubinets stated that Ukraine is working with Qatar and the United Arab Emirates to accelerate the process of returning illegally deported Ukrainian children from Russia.
