The Siversk operational and tactical group has recorded a significant decrease in the use of enemy FPV drones and unmanned aerial vehicles in its area of responsibility. However, Russian forces continue to deploy their full arsenal of weapons.

Vadym Mysnyk, spokesman for the Siversk operational and tactical group, said this on Ukrainian television, as reported by an Ukrinform correspondent.

“We have observed a notable decline in the enemy’s use of FPV drones and UAVs, but they are still deploying all available weaponry,” Mysnyk said.

According to him, the reduction is largely due to worsening weather conditions, as well as targeted strikes by Ukraine’s Defense Forces deep into Russian-held territory.

“The enemy does not feel secure in this region. They have amassed forces in the Kursk region and are expanding the area of active combat operations, attempting to infiltrate our territory with small infantry groups. However, Ukrainian Defense Forces are effectively neutralizing them, preventing their advance,” he added

Mysnyk also noted that the occupiers are attempting to carry out coordinated attacks, combining ground forces with aerial support, including drones of various types alongside infantry units.

“Their assaults primarily involve infantry transported on light vehicles such as ATVs and motorcycles, as heavy military equipment cannot operate freely in this area. We swiftly identify and destroy such equipment, forcing them to rely on this tactic to leverage their numerical advantage. They are trying to push through, regroup, and establish positions,” he explained.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, according to Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, four settlements in the region are under Russian occupation.
