“My key priorities as Ambassador of Ukraine to the Kingdom of the Netherlands are in line with the strategic directions of foreign policy set by the President of Ukraine. First and foremost, the priorities are to strengthen political, military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine from the Netherlands, as well as to develop bilateral relations, including mutually beneficial economic cooperation. Cultural and humanitarian cooperation is a very important area. Another priority is cooperation at the level of regions and communities. It is also very important to promote the European integration of our country, support and unite the Ukrainian community in the Netherlands and contribute to international efforts to bring the Russian Federation to justice for aggression and all international crimes committed against Ukraine and Ukrainians,” the diplomat said in a comment to Ukrinform after presenting his credentials.
According to him, the most important task is to do everything possible every day to bring the Victory closer.
“Restoration of justice is a very important element of Ukraine’s struggle for independence, for freedom, for respect for human rights, for respect for dignity and preservation of Ukrainian identity. The enemy started this aggressive war precisely to destroy Ukraine as a state and Ukrainians as a nation. Justice must be restored, and all those who have committed international crimes, starting with the crime of aggression, must be punished,” the ambassador emphasized.
As Ukrinform reported, on April 7, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed decrees appointing Andrii Kostin Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
