Two killed, nine injured: Russian drones hit maternity hospital, clinic, vehicles in Odesa

Two people were killed and nine others injured in a Russian drone attack on Odesa on the night of June 9 to 10.

The Prosecutor General’s Office announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

According to the investigation, Russia launched more than ten attack drones on the city. Preliminary reports state that two men were killed in the attack. Nine people were injured: five women and three men sustained wounds, while another woman suffered an acute stress reaction.

The drone strike caused damage to residential buildings, a maternity hospital, an emergency medical station, a private medical clinic, a sports complex, the zoo, the railway station, and several vehicles.

The full extent of the destruction is still being assessed. Prosecutors, along with other law enforcement agencies, are documenting the consequences of Russia’s armed aggression.

Under the procedural guidance of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — violations of the laws and customs of war that resulted in death.

The investigation is being conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine in the Odesa region.
