The response to Russian strikes on Ukraine should not be silence from the world, but concrete action, says President Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to Ukrinform, this was stated on his Facebook page.
According to Zelensky, “Russian missile and Shahed strikes are louder than the attempts of the United States and others in the world to force Russia to make peace. For several nights now, instead of a ceasefire, there have been massive strikes with Shaheds, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles.”
As the head of state noted, today was one of the biggest attacks on Kyiv. Odessa, Dnipropetrovsk, and Chernihiv regions were also targeted.
In total, the President said, the Russians used 315 drones, including 250 Shahed-type UAVs, as well as seven missiles, two of which were North Korean-made ballistic missiles.
“Ordinary houses and urban infrastructure have been damaged, and even a maternity hospital in Odesa has become a Russian target. Thirteen people have been injured. Unfortunately, there are fatalities. My condolences to the families,” Zelensky emphasized.
According to him, “it is important that the response to this and other similar Russian attacks is not silence from the world, but concrete action. Action from America, which has the power to force Russia to make peace. Action by Europe, which has no alternative but to be strong. Action by others in the world who have called for diplomacy and an end to the war and whom Russia has ignored. Strong pressure is needed for peace.»
As reported by Ukrinform, air defense forces neutralized 284 of the 322 air attack weapons used by the Russians to attack Ukraine since the evening.
