
As a result of the Russian drone attack on Kharkiv overnight on June 11, two people were killed and 60 injured, including nine children.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the communications department of the Kharkiv Regional Police.
Residential areas in the Slobidskyi and Osnovianskyi districts came under enemy attack.
Russian UAVs struck a trolleybus depot, a private house, and several multi-story residential buildings. Fires broke out in apartments, as well as in parked vehicles and on a children’s playground.
A 47-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man were killed in the attacks. Sixty Kharkiv residents sustained various injuries. Among the injured were nine children, three of whom were hospitalized. The others received medical assistance on site.
Police officers, emergency services, and medics responded promptly, providing necessary aid and evacuating residents from damaged buildings.
Personnel from the investigative unit’s operational headquarters are on-site taking statements from affected citizens.
Investigators have opened criminal proceedings under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — war crimes.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, earlier reports confirmed that 54 people, including eight children, were injured in the drone attack, with two fatalities.
