Kharkiv under massive Russian attack: two people killed, 54 injured

As a result of Russia’s drone attack on Kharkiv overnight on June 11, 54 people were injured, including eight children. Two people were killed.

This was reported on Telegram by Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov, according to Ukrinform.

“As many as 37 people sustained injuries of varying severity, among them five children. Unfortunately, two people died,” he wrote.

There were strikes in two districts of the city.

According to the regional administration, in the Slobidskyi district, enemy drones hit a trolleybus depot and residential buildings. Several vehicles also caught fire.

In the Osnovianskyi district, a fire broke out in a multi-story residential building due to a drone strike.

Nine of the injured were taken to Kharkiv hospitals, including a 2-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy, added Oleh Syniehubov on Telegram.

Medical staff are providing the necessary care to the injured.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov stated on Telegram that the enemy carried out 17 strikes using “Shahed” drones.

“Several people were rescued from homes engulfed in flames. Trolleybuses, the contact network, public utility and industrial facilities were damaged. All of these are ordinary civilian infrastructure — they should never be targets,” he emphasized in his post.

Later, Ihor Terekhov confirmed that the number of victims had risen to 54. This was reiterated by Oleh Syniehubov, on his Telegram channel.

According to the State Emergency Service, eight of the injured are children.

Earlier reports indicate that at least 28 people were injured in the Russian drone attack on Kharkiv.
