Ukraine’s Air Defense Forces neutralized 49 out of 85 drones launched by Russia during an attack that began late on June 10.

That is according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

Starting around 22:00 on Tuesday, Russian forces launched 85 strike UAVs — mainly Shahed-type drones and various decoy drones — from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as Chauda and Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea.

In addition, an Iskander-M ballistic missile was launched from Russia’s Kursk region.

The primary targets of the attack were Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Odesa regions.

Ukraine’s air defenses comprising aviation, surface-to-air missile units, electronic warfare (EW) systems, drone units, and mobile fire teams responded to the assault.

As of 8:00 on Wednesday, June 11, the Air Defense Forces had shot down 49 drones over eastern, southern, northern, and central Ukraine. 40 drones were destroyed with fire weapons, nine suppressed by EW systems or lost from tracking.
