On June 16, Ukrainian forces engaged in 186 combat clashes with Russian invaders, according to a Facebook update from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Over the past day, Russia launched two missile strikes and 56 airstrikes on Ukrainian territory, using five missiles and dropping 110 guided aerial bombs, the update said.
In addition, Russian forces deployed 3,226 kamikaze drones and carried out 5,481 shelling attacks on Ukrainian military positions and civilian areas, including 96 strikes from multiple launch rocket systems.
Russian airstrikes targeted the areas of Khotin, Kyianytsia, and Yablunivka in the Sumy region, Shakhove in the Donetsk region, Maliivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Malynivka, Olhivske, Huliaipole, Berezove, Mala Tokmachka, Kamianske, and Novoselivka in the Zaporizhzhia region, and Mykolaivka in the Kherson region.
Ukrainian aviation, missile forces, and artillery struck eight concentrations of enemy troops, weapons, and equipment, five artillery systems, and one other key Russian target.
In the North Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian forces repelled 38 enemy assaults. The enemy also launched 14 airstrikes, dropping 32 guided bombs, and carried out 225 shelling attacks, including one with an MLRS.
In the South Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian forces launched four assaults on Ukrainian positions near Dovhenke and Kamianka.
In the Kupiansk sector, there were four enemy attacks. Ukrainian forces repelled assaults near Stepova Novoselivka, Zahryzove, and toward Holubivka and Petropavlivka.
In the Lyman sector, the enemy attempted seven assaults near Kopanky, Nadiia, Hrekivka, Ridkodub, and Kolodiazi.
In the Siversk sector, Russian forces launched an attack near Hryhorivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, there were 12 engagements near Chasiv Yar, Kurdiumivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, and toward Bila Hora.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy launched 18 attacks near Toretsk, Dyliivka, and toward Shcherbynivka, Rusyn Yar, and Yablunivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 56 Russian assault and offensive attempts near Popiv Yar, Myroliubivka, Shevchenko Pershe, Promin, Udachne, Novoserhiivka, Orikhove, Kotliarivka, Novopavlivka, Andriivka, and Oleksiivka.
In the Novopavlivka sector, the enemy launched 28 attacks near Novosilka, Vilne Pole, Bahatyr, Burlatske, and toward Zaporizhzhia and Shevchenko.
In the Huliaipole sector, Ukrainian troops repelled four Russian assaults near Malynivka.
In the Orikhiv sector, two Russian attacks were repelled near Nesterianka.
In the Dnipro River sector, Ukrainian troops repelled an enemy assault near the Antonivskyi Bridge.
In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, there were no signs of Russian offensive group formations.
