Ukraine’s forces used a drone to make a Russian serviceman surrender and escort him to their positions, where he was taken captive.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces posted a video of the encounter on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
“During a combat mission, the commander of an FPV drone crew from the 414th Separate Brigade ‘Birds of the Magyar’, call sign ‘Pain’, used a drone to capture yet another Russian invader. The UAV escorted the Russian soldier directly to our positions, where he was detained,” the caption to the video says.
The General Staff noted that Ukrainian defenders continue to replenish the exchange fund, because every captured invader is a chance to free more of our own soldiers from Russian captivity.
The General Staff noted that callsign “Pain” is a Hero of Ukraine. His crew has already disabled more than 500 Russian artillery systems using drones.
The General Staff expressed gratitude for their exceptional combat performance.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, in late May, paratroopers, together with affiliated units, captured a group of Russian servicemen in the Kursk axis.
