Enemy strikes AFU training ground in Kherson region with Iskander-M – Ground Forces

On June 22, Russian forces launched an Iskander-M missile strike on a training ground of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kherson region.

The attack was confirmed by Ground Forces spokesperson Vitaliy Sarantsev, Ukrinform reports, referring to Suspilne News.

Sarantsev clarified that the site was not a permanent facility, but a temporary location used for specific training tasks.

According to him, most personnel had dispersed and taken shelter moments before the strike.

“The service members are not stationed at the site permanently—they arrive only to carry out specific training tasks. Unfortunately, some failed to follow safety protocols – most of them were affected,” he explained.

As reported by Ukrinform, on June 22, Russian forces launched a missile strike on a training ground used by one of Ukraine’s mechanized brigades during military exercises, killing three and injuring 14 others.
