In the Zaporizhzhia region, a crew of power engineers came under enemy fire while conducting emergency repairs following Russian attacks.
This was reported by Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“Today, while performing emergency repair work, the Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo brigade came under fire from Russian occupation forces. Fortunately, the power engineers were not injured, but their truck sustained damage,” said company head Andriy Stasevskyi.
The crew had been working near the contact line to restore power infrastructure damaged by earlier strikes. Due to the renewed shelling, the repair work could not be completed.
Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, two Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo employees have been killed and 13 others injured while on duty in the region.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, two power engineers were wounded in an FPV drone attack in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
