During the military campaign that began in late spring, Russia aims to achieve some results at the front by autumn. So far, this campaign has had no effect.
This was stated during a television broadcast by Major Viktor Trehubov, Spokesperson for the Khortytsia Operational Strategic Group of Troops, according to Ukrinform.
“It seems that, based on their available resources, the Russians want to conduct a summer campaign and achieve something by autumn. That’s how it looks for now. This campaign is already underway — it began in late spring. So far, it has shown no effect, but they appear to have some degree of confidence in their capabilities. We’ll see,” he said.
Trehubov added that he does not see the presence of a specific symbolic date, such as May 9, that the Russians might be targeting in their efforts to capture Ukrainian cities.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, there were 142 combat engagements between Ukraine’s Defense Forces and Russian troops on June 22, with the fiercest fighting taking place in the Pokrovsk sector.
