Zelensky meets with King Charles

President Volodymyr Zelensky met with King Charles on Monday during an official visit to the United Kingdom.

That is according to Reuters, as reported by Ukrinform.

Zelensky met King Charles at Windsor Castle ahead of political meetings later in the day. The two shook hands for cameras on what was their third this year and the latest gesture of Charles’, and Britain’s, support for Ukraine.

The Ukrainian president will later meet Prime Minister Keir Starmer and the speakers of both houses of parliament.

“We will also be negotiating new and powerful steps to increase pressure on Russia for this war and to put an end to the strikes,” Zelensky said on X.

As expected, the President will also talk to Ukrainian military personnel who are being trained in Britain and representatives of think tanks.

As Ukrinform reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky will address a meeting of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe on Wednesday, June 25, which is to finalize the creation of a special tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine, as well as a session of PACE.
