Zelensky meets with Starmer in London

President Volodymyr Zelensky has started a meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

The Ukrainian president said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“I have started my meeting with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. First and foremost, I am grateful for the United Kingdom’s support and solidarity with Ukraine, and for its assistance in protecting lives. Thanks to our cooperation, thousands of our people have been saved from Russian strikes. That is the main objective today – to save as many lives as possible. To stop Russian terror. To force Russia to think about peace, not about expanding the war. Absolutely clear objectives,” he noted.

President Zelensky emphasized three key priorities: first, maximum political and diplomatic coordination; second, the advancement of joint defense projects and weapons production, including increased investment in manufacturing and expanded defense cooperation; and third, the implementation of sanctions against Russia aimed at crippling its ability to scale up weapons production.

“In particular, we will provide our partners with a list of Russian enterprises involved in the production of the ‘Oreshnik’ system and other means used by Russia for terror. All companies and individuals engaged in this must be sanctioned – at the very least – in the key jurisdictions of the world. Currently, most of the companies involved in the production of the “Oreshnik” system are not under sanctions. We will correct that. Cooperation with Russian weapons manufacturers is a crime against peace. That is exactly how it should be interpreted. I thank everyone who is helping us weaken Russia’s defense potential,” Zelensky stressed.

As reported by Ukrinform, President Zelensky arrived in the United Kingdom on Monday, where he has already met with King Charles III.
