Over the next two weeks, Russian propaganda efforts are expected to intensify, focusing on discrediting Ukraine’s path toward European integration.

According to Ukrinform, the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) at Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council reported this on Facebook.

Pro-Kremlin media outlets and political figures are expected to amplify narratives portraying Ukraine’s integration with Europe as a supposed “threat” to Europe itself.

The campaign is also likely to escalate rhetoric framing Ukraine as a “failed state” allegedly resorting to terrorism, along with renewed efforts to spread disinformation and manipulation related to military mobilization within Ukraine.

As the BRICS summit approaches, observers expect a surge in anti-Western messaging in Russian state-aligned outlets. Meanwhile, an increase in anti-Ukrainian narratives is also anticipated in Belarus ahead of its Independence Day celebrations, alongside fresh disinformation attacks targeting Armenia and Azerbaijan.

As reported by Ukrinform, Russian propaganda outlets are circulating false reports alleging that two officers from the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were detained in the Sumy region for poaching.
