Zelensky awaits probe report on Russian strike killing brigade commander

The President said an inquiry had been launched into today’s Russian missile strike on Huliaipole in Dnipropetrovsk region that left servicemen killed.

Volodymyr Zelensky stated this in a video address to the nation on Tuesday, Ukrinform reports.

“Today, the rubble was being cleared throughout the day after the strike on Huliaipole. Unfortunately, there are victims – both military and civilian. The commander of the 110th separate mechanized brigade, Colonel Zakharevych, and other guys from the brigade were killed. My condolences go out to families and friends,” he said.

The president assured that a full-blown investigation into the circumstances of the deadly strike is underway.

“I am awaiting the report,” Zelensky said.

The Head of State noted that all those who were wounded are being provided with the necessary assistance.

“Over 30 people were injured. We will definitely respond to this attack by the Russians,” he stressed.

As Ukrinform reported, according to tentative reports, the Russians attacked the village of Huliaipole in the Kamiansky district of Dnipropetrovsk region, launching two Iskander-M ballistic missiles.
