Two rescuers injured in Kryvyi Rih during repeated Russian strike

The Russian army launched a second strike on Kryvyi Rih today, targeting the site after emergency crews had already arrived to respond to an earlier attack. Among the injured are members of Ukraine’s State Emergency Service.

According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, six people were injured in total, including two rescuers. Several fires broke out in the city as a result of the strikes.

“Upon the arrival of emergency workers at the site of the initial attack, the enemy struck again, injuring two rescuers and damaging four fire and rescue vehicles,” the statement said.

More than 50 rescuers and 12 units of SES equipment have been deployed to manage the aftermath. Relief efforts are ongoing.

As earlier reported, the Russian army carried out an airstrike on Kryvyi Rih, with the aerial munition launched from occupied territory in the Zaporizhzhia region.
