
One civilian was killed in a Russian attack on the Bytytsia community in the Sumy region on July 6.
The Sumy Regional Military Administration reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“The victim’s body was discovered during a site inspection following a series of strikes. Preliminary reports indicate that another person was injured,” the statement said.
According to the administration, at around 16:00, the enemy attacked the village with four strike UAVs over a 15-minute period. Dozens of residential homes were damaged, five of which were almost destroyed. The extent of the destruction is still being assessed. Search and rescue operations are ongoing.
Earlier reports said that Russian forces had attacked the village of Bytytsia in the Sumy region with guided bombs, missiles, and drones.
