Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with Ukraine’s military command to discuss the situation on the front lines.

He reported this in his evening video address, according to Ukrinform.

“Today I held a meeting with the military command — the Commander-in-Chief, the General Staff, the Ministry of Defense, and also the Security Service of Ukraine — regarding the situation on the front lines and our operations, including those on Russian territory,” Zelensky said.

He expressed gratitude to all units of the Defense Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine, and intelligence services for their efforts in putting pressure on the occupiers and disrupting Russian logistics.

He also added that he had instructed the minister of defense and the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to intensify contacts with the United States.

“We now have the necessary political statements and decisions, and it’s essential to implement them as quickly as possible to protect our people and our positions. This primarily concerns air defense, as well as other critical supplies from the United States — supplies that are vital to saving lives and defending Ukrainian cities and villages,” Zelensky said.

He added that he expects results from these contacts in the near future. In particular, formats for meetings between military and political teams are already being prepared for this week.

Zelensky announced earlier that Ukraine was preparing to finalize agreements with partners on air defense in the coming weeks.
