Two dead and several injured in Chernivtsi as result of Russian attack

Two people were killed in Chernivtsi as a result of a Russian attack.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the head of the regional state administration, Ruslan Zaparniuk, on Telegram.

According to him, at dawn, the Russians attacked Bukovyna with four Shahed-type UAVs and one missile.

As a result of the debris falling in Chernivtsi, a 26-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man were killed.

Four more people were seriously injured. One woman is in very serious condition.

Ten people suffered minor injuries. They were given medical assistance on the spot, Zaparniuk said.

Later, Zaparniuk reported that the death toll from the Russian attack had risen to four. According to him, “two seriously injured people have just died in the hospital — a woman about 45 years old and a man about 65 years old.”

At 8:40 a.m., the head of the regional state administration clarified that two people had died.

“Update! Doctors are still fighting for the lives of all the seriously injured! The latest information as of 8:40 a.m. — two dead!” the head of the regional state administration said.

Several residential buildings, shops, administrative buildings, and cars were damaged in Chernivtsi.

In the Storozhynets community, a residential building and a car were damaged as a result of a Russian UAV strike. There were no casualties or injuries.

All relevant services are working on site.

The head of the regional state administration urged people not to approach the affected locations, as it could be dangerous.

He also appealed to the residents of Bukovyna once again: “If an air raid siren is sounded, immediately go to the nearest shelter.”

As reported by Ukrinform, a combined Russian attack in Lviv damaged houses, a kindergarten, dozens of cars, and the roof of a non-residential building.
