
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte informed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a phone call about his meeting today with Donald Trump and about cooperation between Europe and the United States to support Ukraine.
According to Ukrinform, Zelensky shared the details in a post on Telegram.
“I spoke with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. Also, a very good conversation. Mark briefed me on today’s meeting in Washington with President Trump and on cooperation between Europe and the United States to continue and strengthen support for Ukraine,” Zelensky stated.
The President emphasized that Ukraine appreciates the readiness to provide additional Patriot systems, with America, Germany, and Norway already working together on this.
Zelensky added that other weapons will also be supplied to protect Ukrainian lives and repel Russian assaults.
“It is important to increase pressure on Russia for the sake of peace and to save lives. Thank you, Mark!” the Ukrainian President noted.
According to Ukrinform, Donald Trump stressed during his meeting with Mark Rutte that the NATO agreement provides for military aid to Ukraine worth billions of U.S. dollars.
