Zelensky offered Svyrydenko to head government

During a meeting with First Deputy Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko, President Volodymyr Zelensky offered her the position of head of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The head of state announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“I offered Yuliia Svyrydenko to head the Ukrainian government and significantly revamp its work. I look forward to the presentation of the new government’s action plan in the near future,” Zelensky said following the meeting.

According to him, the conversation focused on “specific measures that could strengthen Ukraine’s economic potential, expand support programs for Ukrainians, and scale up our own weapons production.”

“To this end, we are beginning to transform the executive branch in Ukraine,” the President noted.

During the meeting, Svyrydenko reported on the implementation of agreements with European and American partners on support for Ukraine, which were reached at the recent Ukraine Recovery Conference. “We must implement as quickly as possible everything that can support the stability of our state and society,” Zelensky said.

As reported by Ukrinform, yesterday, July 13, after a meeting with Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, the President announced an administrative transformation that will reduce spending on the state apparatus and direct maximum resources to the defense of Ukraine.
