In the city of Aarhus, Denmark, the Ukrainian community Lastivka organized a peaceful march to draw international attention to the plight of Ukrainian defenders held in Russian captivity.
According to Ukrinform, the Lastivka community shared details of the event on its Facebook page.
The aim of the march was to remind the world that the war in Ukraine is ongoing and that many Ukrainian soldiers remain imprisoned.
Organizers thanked all participants, stressing that their presence was “not just steps through the city, but a voice in support of those still in captivity and those waiting for their loved ones to come home.”
The community emphasized the importance of such events abroad. They help keep global focus on the war, demonstrate that Ukrainian fighters continue to resist even in captivity, and underscore that every concerned voice can help save lives.
“Together we are stronger. Together we speak the truth and fight for our defenders!” the organizers said, ending the post with the calls “Honor the living! Remember the fallen! Fight for the prisoners!”
A similar protest recently took place in the Town Hall Square in Vilnius, Lithuania, to raise awareness about the fate of the defenders of Azovstal who are still in Russian captivity.
