Russian occupation forces are attempting to advance toward the settlements of Novodanylivka and Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia region.
This was reported on television by Spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces Vladyslav Voloshyn, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.
“Currently, there are fewer active combat clashes or assaults in these areas compared to some other sectors of the frontline. In the Orikhiv and Huliaipole sectors, we are seeing one or two combat engagements per day. For example, in the past 24 hours, the enemy attempted to advance toward Novodanylivka on the Orikhiv axis, but the attempt failed. In addition, for several days in a row, the enemy has been trying to advance towrd the settlement of Kamianske, just as they did in the case of Malynivka,” Voloshyn said.
He added that in Kamianske, the occupiers have destroyed virtually all of the Ukrainian defense positions and almost all of the built-up area.
“The enemy attempted to enter this settlement (Kamianske) with small infantry groups and hold their ground, but they have been unable to do so. Ukraine’s Defense Forces are eliminating these groups. However, the enemy continues shelling and striking the area with various types of weapons — frequently using aircraft to launch both guided aerial bombs and unguided rockets,” the spokesperson noted.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, there were 171 combat engagements between Ukrainian defense forces and Russian invaders across the front line on July 15.
