Casualties reported as Russians shell Kostiantynivka

Russian invading forces shelled the town of Kostiantynivka in Donetsk region, killing two civilians and injuring one person.

This was reported on Facebook by Serhii Horbunov, Head of the Kostiantynivka Town Military Administration, according to Ukrinform.

He stated that early on Thursday, July 17, the town came under heavy shelling from Russian barrel artillery.

“As a result of the attack, six strikes were recorded on residential infrastructure. Two civilians were killed — both died from fatal injuries sustained in their own homes. Another civilian was wounded and was quickly transported to Kostiantynivka’s hospital,” Horbunov wrote.

Also, significant damage was inflicted on civilian infrastructure: the facades of over 30 private homes were destroyed or damaged.

Horbunov once again urged residents not to delay evacuation and to prioritize their safety and the safety of their families by relocating to safer regions.

As reported, on July 16, Russian forces killed three civilians in Donetsk region and wounded 29 others.
