The recently constituted government of Ukraine, which was inaugurated on Thursday, is one of the most diminutive in terms of the number of ministers in recent memory.

This was announced on Facebook by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, according to Ukrinform.

“The first meeting of the new government was held immediately after the vote in Parliament. The new government is one of the smallest in terms of the number of ministers in history. This is proof that we have set a course to reduce the apparatus. Let’s get to work,” she wrote.

According to her, each minister must define a specific action plan without abstractions as soon as possible.

Svyrydenko stated that these plans will be presented publicly and discussed with the relevant committees of the Verkhovna Rada.

“And then regular reports will be provided. We need to speed up. I have had a positive experience working with the economic committee and am convinced that such constructive interaction is possible in other areas as well,” said the Prime Minister.
