War update: Ukrainian forces neutralized over 200 occupiers in Pokrovsk sector

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces published a war update as of 22:00 on Sunday, July 20, on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

“Russian occupiers launched two missile strikes using five missiles, 53 airstrikes dropping 71 guided bombs, and deployed 1,427 kamikaze drones. They also conducted 4,327 shelling attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas,” the post said.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, 18 engagements were recorded, with five still ongoing. The enemy launched nine airstrikes, 12 guided bombs, and 229 artillery attacks.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, four enemy attacks were recorded near Vovchansk, Krasne Pershe, Kutkivka, and Starytsia.

In the Kupiansk sector, four enemy attacks were recorded near Kindrashivka, Zelenyi Hai, and toward Kupiansk, with one engagement still ongoing.

In the Lyman sector, 17 Russian assaults were repelled near Karpivka, Kolodiazi, Novyi Myr, Ridkodub, Shandryholove, Torske, and toward Serebrianka, with three engagements ongoing.

In the Siversk sector, six Russian attacks were recorded in the areas of Vyimka, Verkhniokamianske, Fedorivka, and Hryhorivka, with three engagements ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian forces launched one attack toward Predtechyne.

In the Toretsk sector, eight clashes were recorded today, with Russian attempts to storm Ukrainian positions near Dyliivka, Shcherbynivka, Rusyn Yar, Toretsk, and toward Katerynivka. Two attacks are still underway.

In the Pokrovsk sector, since the beginning of the day, Russian forces carried out 36 attacks near Poltavka, Udachne, Novoekonomichne, Lysivka, Zvirrove, Novopavlivka, Orikhove, Oleksiivka, and toward Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad. Ukrainian defenders repelled 34 assaults, with two engagements ongoing.

Preliminary reports indicate that 209 Russian occupiers were neutralized in the Pokrovsk sector, including 130 soldiers killed in action. Ukrainian forces also destroyed two vehicles, five motorcycles, three artillery pieces, 14 UAVs, three UAV control antennas, and two UAV control points. Additionally, three vehicles, two artillery pieces, and two UAV antennas were damaged.

In the Novopavlivka sector, Ukrainian troops repelled ten attacks near Yalta, Myrne, Tolstoi, Voskresenka, Maliivka, Zelene Pole, Temyrivka, and Novopil. Three engagements are ongoing.

In the Huliaipole and Orikhiv sectors, no offensive actions were recorded today, but enemy airstrikes targeted Plavni and Prymorske.

In the Dnipro River sector, one engagement was recorded. The enemy also launched an airstrike using unguided rockets on Odradokamianka.

“Today we especially commend the 1st Separate Territorial Defense Brigade named after Ivan Bohun and the 406th Separate Artillery Brigade named after General Oleksii Almazov, who are effectively eliminating the enemy and inflicting substantial losses in personnel and equipment,” the General Staff said.
