Russian shell hits residential apartment in Kherson, injuring civilian

Early on July 21, Russian forces attacked residential neighborhoods in central Kherson, with a shell striking an apartment on the fifth floor of a building.

This was reported on Facebook by Yaroslav Shanko, Head of the Kherson City Military Administration (CMA), who also shared a video from the scene.

“Around 10:00, Russian terrorists struck residential neighborhoods in central Kherson. A shell hit an apartment on the fifth floor. Fortunately, no one was injured,” Shanko wrote.

According to the city head, social workers from the Kherson CMA were dispatched to the site, where they spoke with residents and provided support.

Later, the Regional Military Administration (RMA) clarified that Russian forces used artillery to shell the city. As a result of the attack, a 33-year-old man sustained blast injuries.

“The injured man sought medical attention on his own. He is currently receiving necessary medical care,” the statement reads.

Earlier, Russian troops launched a drone strike on Kherson’s Dniprovskyi district, injuring two people, according to Ukrinform.
