Overnight, Ukrainian defense forces intercepted 33 Russian drones in the sky over Ukraine. Nine enemy targets hit three different locations.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
According to the military, starting from 23:00 on Monday, July 21, Russian invaders launched a total of 42 strike drones — Shahed-type UAVs and various decoy drones — from Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia as well as from Cape Chauda and the village of Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea.
As of 9:00 on Tuesday, preliminary data indicate that Ukraine’s air defense forces shot down or jammed 26 enemy Shahed-type drones (and drones of other types) over the southern and eastern regions of the country, while seven other targets were lost or jammed by electronic warfare systems.
Enemy strikes were recorded at three locations, and debris from downed drones fell in three other areas.
As Ukrinform previously reported, explosions were heard in Odesa during a Russian drone attack overnight on July 22.
