Ukrainian and Russian delegations arrive in Istanbul for talks

The Ukrainian and Russian delegations have arrived at the Çırağan Palace in Istanbul for negotiations.

This was reported by a Ukrinform correspondent.

The Russian negotiating team arrived first, followed by the Ukrainian delegation a few minutes later.

Official representatives from Türkiye are also present at the palace.

Currently, it is unclear how long the negotiations will last.

Following the meeting, both teams are expected to hold separate press conferences.

Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi informed journalists that the Ukrainian delegation had arrived in Istanbul for talks with the Russian side, following a meeting with the President of Türkiye in Ankara.

According to a source cited by the agency, after a short break, the Ukrainian delegation headed to Çırağan Palace, where the meeting with the Russian side is scheduled to begin at 19:00.

As reported by Turkish media, before the start of the meeting, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will address the participants. His remarks will be broadcast live by Turkish outlets.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, the Ukraine–Russia meeting in Istanbul is set to take place today. The Ukrainian side intends to raise several key issues, including prisoner exchange, return of children abducted by Russia, a duarble and lasting ceasefire, and a potential meeting between the leaders of the two countries.
