Cooperation within the Build with Ukraine program helps Ukraine produce the necessary weapons, and its Western partners to access technologies that have been tested in real combat conditions, and thus be better prepared for possible attacks.
This was stated in an interview with Ukrinform by Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries Davyd Aloyan. He noted that Ukraine is currently actively building cooperation with partners within the framework of the Build with Ukraine program announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky. Aloyan noted that there is a significant level of interest in this program from partner countries.
“Both the governments of partner countries and companies understand perfectly well that by cooperating with Ukrainian companies in Ukraine, they potentially have the opportunity to cooperate with us in their own countries.
“Both the governments of partner countries and companies understand perfectly well that by cooperating with Ukrainian companies in Ukraine, they potentially have the opportunity to cooperate with us at home. This is exactly what is being worked on now,” said the government official, citing the example of cooperation with Denmark.
The Deputy Minister noted that, even though all products manufactured with the financial support of foreign partners are currently intended for Ukraine’s needs, these partners understand that they will also have access to information about which products are currently relevant. This model of cooperation will therefore allow Ukraine’s partners to obtain the most suitable weapons for modern warfare, which have been tested in real combat conditions. This will enable these countries to prepare more effectively for potential aggression and fulfil their needs with weapons that have proven their effectiveness on the battlefield.
Aloyan is convincing partners that, within the framework of Build With Ukraine and the European SAFE mechanism, there is now an opportunity to become more active and show interest in initiating cooperation with Ukrainian enterprises to manufacture products that Ukrainians have developed at great personal cost.
It was reported that Ukraine announced the launch of the Build with Ukraine program at the end of June. The program allows arms manufacturers to scale up production outside the country.
