Since the start of the day, 92 combat clashes have taken place between the Defense Forces of Ukraine and Russian invaders, with active fighting ongoing in five sectors, the Pokrovsk sector being the most intense.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, according to Ukrinform, based on operational data as of 16:00 on Thursday, July 24.
According to the General Staff, border settlements in Kharkiv region (Tymofiivka) and Sumy Region (Turiya, Pokrovka, Koreniok, Nova Huta, Vovkivka, Petrushivka) came under Russian shelling from across the border.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian forces repelled 14 attacks, with four more battles ongoing. Russia launched six airstrikes with seven guided bombs, and conducted 180 shelling attacks, five of them from MLRS.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the enemy launched three assaults near Vovchansk, Petro-Ivanivka, and Kamianske, all of which were repelled.
In the Kupiansk sector, the Russians attempted to advance near Stepova Novoselivka, Zahryzove, Zelenyi Hai, and toward Velyka Shapkivka. One clash is still ongoing.
In the Lyman sector, Russian forces carried out 16 attacks near Hrekivka, Novyi Myr, Yampolivka, Torske, and toward Dronivka, Shandryholove, Cherneshchyna, and Serednie. Four clashes are ongoing.
In the Siversk, Kramatorsk, and Toretsk sectors, no active Russian offensives were recorded today.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy made 25 attempts to dislodge the Ukrainian defenders from positions near Rusyn Yar, Myrne, Myrnohrad, Novoekonomichne, Lysivka, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Dachne, and toward Volodymyrivka and Pokrovsk. Ukrainian forces repelled 20 attacks, with five battles ongoing. Russian losses are being clarified.
In the Novopavlivka sector, the Russian invaders launched eight assaults near Piddubne, Maliivka, and Voskresenka, as well as toward Temyrivka and Oleksandrohhrad. One clash is ongoing.
In the Huliaipole sector, Russian forces attacked Zaliznychne with unguided rockets. No active ground offensives were reported.
In the Orikhiv sector, one clash occurred near Stepnohirsk.
In the Prydniprovske sector, the enemy attacked five times near Dniprovske, Sadove, and Prydniprovske, and launched an airstrike on Kherson and Mykolaivka.
In other sectors of the front, the situation remained largely unchanged.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, Russian forces remain deployed near Chasiv Yar but have not been able to advance toward Kostiantynivka.
