In recent years, Ukraine has significantly boosted the production of ammunition and military equipment. Now, the country offers innovative solutions to military challenges and sets a trend in the global defense industry, demonstrating the strength of the nation and readiness to resist the aggressor and achieve victory.
The relevant statement was made by an expert of Ukraine’s state-owned foreign trade enterprise, SpetsTechnoExport (STE), in a commentary to Ukrinform during the IDEF 2025 International Defence Industry Fair in Türkiye’s Istanbul.
“The number of defense industry products and manufacturers in Ukraine has increased exponentially in recent years. Even such a large stand as this one was unable to include everyone who wanted to participate… Today, Ukraine is certainly setting a trend in the global defense industry,” the expert told.
In his words, while most of the world is not ready for modern military challenges, Ukraine currently shows in which direction we should move.
“It is worth noting that the criteria for assessing military capability are outdated. Calculations are made using the outdated ‘formulas’. No one will call Russia the ‘second army in the world’ anymore. Many countries are now looking at the experience of Ukraine and reassessing their capabilities and the capabilities of their potential enemies,” SpetsTechnoExport’s representative noted.
According to him, the world is watching with admiration as Ukraine finds new, creative technical solutions to counter the enemy.
“Considering massive Russian attacks, the entire world is now looking at Ukraine with the question: how to get out of this situation, is there a solution? We have the solution, we introduce manufacturers to our partners, offering to help both financially and in other ways,” SpetsTechnoExport’s expert emphasized.
A reminder that the IDEF 2025 is taking place in Türkiye’s Istanbul on July 22-27, 2025. This year’s exhibition features nearly 1,000 Turkish companies and more than 400 international firms. As many as 219 delegations from over 100 countries and international organizations are expected to attend.
The Ukrainian pavilion includes producers of UAVs, electronic warfare systems, armored vehicles, weapons and gear, battlefield management systems, and other military innovations.
