Ukraine is developing new drone models and preparing a large-scale defense agreement with the United States.
Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk stated this in an interview, according to Ukrinform.
According to Stefanchuk, Ukraine’s advancements in drone and anti-drone technologies have become a model for many countries.
He emphasized that this fall, Ukraine’s defense sector will present new projects backed by funding from international partners.
Stefanchuk announced that Ukraine is preparing a “major agreement” with the United States. Under the terms of the deal, the U.S. will purchase Ukrainian-made drones, while Ukraine, in return, will receive advanced American weaponry.
“This is a completely new chapter, where we are beginning to act as a security provider for the entire world. Because we possess unique experience, technologies, and security products that we can offer our partners,” Stefanchuk said.
He also referenced support models from Denmark and the Czech Republic, which are financing and supplying equipment for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
President Volodymyr Zelensky recently visited a facility in the Kyiv region that manufactures electronics and sensitive components for missiles, drones, and secure communication systems.
According to the president, an additional EUR 400 million will be transferred to Ukrainian drone manufacturers as part of agreements with international partners.
