Six people were killed and 82 injured, including ten children, due to Russia’s combined missile and drone attack on Kyiv on Thursday, July 31.
Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
According to him, 44 people are currently hospitalized.
“A six-year-old boy died in the ambulance — they couldn’t save him. At least ten injured children, five of them in hospital. This is what the Russians did. A five-month-old baby girl was wounded — the Russians targeted her. These figures are not final,” Tkachenko said.
More than 100 sites were damaged in the attack, including residential buildings, schools, kindergartens, medical facilities, and a university. A missile directly struck and destroyed an entire section of a nine-story apartment block in the Sviatoshynskyi district.

“We could have all the money in the world, but we will only endure and overcome this by standing shoulder to shoulder. Russia is waging war against our unity and our people. We must remember this and clearly understand where the enemy lies — in the taiga, in terror, in division,” Tkachenko said.

The heads of the affected districts — Serhii Movenko, Heorhii Zantaraia, Oleksandr Sazanovych, and Sofiia Dunaievska — are working to ensure that emergency response centers are ready to help all who need assistance.
As Ukrinform previously reported, humanitarian support centers have been established in four districts of Kyiv.
