In the temporarily occupied city of Melitopol, five fighters from Russia’s Akhmat unit were killed following the explosion of a minibus.
The Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) reported the operation on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
“A successful joint operation by the HUR and the local resistance – today, on the outskirts of temporarily occupied Melitopol, a minibus transporting fighters from the Russian occupation unit ‘Akhmat’ was destroyed in an explosion. All five passengers were killed in the blast,” the statement reads.
In addition to the fatalities, two Russian soldiers in a nearby vehicle were wounded, and a mobile electronic warfare system was destroyed.
As earlier reported, on the night of August 2, drones from Ukraine’s Security Service targeted a Shahed drone launch site in Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Krasnodar Territory, and the Elektropribor military plant in Penza.
