On August 2, the Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted a precision strike using long-range firepower, destroying a Russian S-300 air defense system in the temporarily occupied part of Zaporizhzhia region.
According to Ukrinform, the operation was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
The destruction of this high-value target significantly reduces the enemy’s long-range strike capabilities and limits its ability to target both Ukrainian defensive positions and civilian infrastructure in the region.
The General Staff emphasized that the strike once again demonstrates the effectiveness and accuracy of Ukrainian units in identifying and eliminating critical enemy assets, even within occupied territories.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to systematically dismantle critical components of Russia’s military infrastructure, undermining its capacity to wage war, retain control over illegally occupied territories, and sustain its broader occupation efforts, the General Staff noted.
As reported by Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the fuel and refueling facility at Sochi Airport in Russia’s Krasnodar region.
