Ukrainian forces neutralize 161 out of 162 enemy drones

As of 11:30 on Monday, Ukraine’s air defense units shot down or suppressed 161 Russian UAVs, including Shahed-type drones and various decoy drones, across northern, southern, eastern, and central regions of Ukraine.

According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Air Force Command announced this on Telegram.

“As of 11:30, air defense forces had shot down or suppressed 161 enemy Shahed-type UAVs and various types of drone decoys across the northern, southern, eastern, and central parts of the country. One drone hit its target, and debris from downed drones fell at nine locations in the Odesa and Kyiv regions,” the statement reads.

On the night of August 3-4 (starting at 19:30 on August 3), the enemy launched 162 strike UAVs — Shahed-type drones and various decoy drones — from Millerovo, Kursk, Bryansk, Oryol (Russia), Hvardiiske (temporarily occupied Crimea), as well as a Kh-47M2 Kinzhal ballistic missile.

The aerial attack was repelled by Ukrainian aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, drone systems, and mobile fire teams.

As many as 183 combat engagements between Ukrainian forces and Russian invaders were recorded on the frontline on August 3.
