Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans has stated that the Netherlands’ military intelligence agency (MIVD) has confirmed Russia is increasingly using chemical weapons in Ukraine.

As reported by Ukrinform, Brekelmans said this in a post on the social media platform X.

“Dutch Military Intelligence and Security Service (MIVD) confirmed that Russia is deploying more chemical weapons in Ukraine. I’m visiting our specialists on chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) threats. They work within the Ministry of Defense and support the police and fire department, among others, with hazardous materials. Much respect!” his post reads.

Earlier reports said that the Netherlands would supply Ukraine with missiles and components for the Patriot air defense system.
