Zelensky receives report from SBU chief on several operations

Vasyl Maliuk, head of the Security Service of Ukraine, reported to President Volodymyr Zelensky on the agency’s special operations and long-range activities. The President praised the SBU’s recent success in neutralizing Russian air defense systems.

Zelensky provided details of the meeting on Telegram, as reported by Ukrinform.

“Report by the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Maliuk. First and foremost, the focus was on the military component, special operations and long-range actions carried out by the warriors of the Security Service of Ukraine. I am grateful for their precision. We are not disclosing the details publicly, but the enemy is feeling the consequences of our actions,” he wrote.

He noted that the results of the Security Service of Ukraine in destroying Russian air defense systems in the first half of the year deserve special attention.

“This significantly contributes to the effectiveness of our long-range strikes on Russian military machine and war economy. I approved several operations. I thank the Security Service of Ukraine for their strength,” Zelensky wrote.

As reported by Ukrinform, drones operated by the Security Service of Ukraine struck five Russian fighter jets at the Saki airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea, completely destroying one of the aircraft.
