
The death toll from the Russian missile strike on Chernivtsi on July 12 has risen to five, after another wounded woman died in hospital.
The news was shared on Telegram by Ruslan Zaparaniuk, head of the Chernivtsi Regional Military Administration, according to Ukrinform.
“Today, another victim of the enemy shelling—71-year-old Yaroslava Klypych from Sniatyn—died in hospital. She was the wife of Vasyl Klypych, who was injured alongside her and died in hospital on July 16,” the statement reads.
This brings the total number of fatalities from the missile strike on the apartment building in Chernivtsi to five.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, Russian forces attacked Bukovyna on the night of July 12 using four Shahed UAVs and a missile. A 26-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man were killed, and 26 others were injured. A 74-year-old man later died of his injuries in hospital, followed by a 44-year-old victim whose death was confirmed on July 25.
