In the south, for the first time in several weeks, Russian occupation forces resumed assault operations using armored vehicles and motorcycles, particularly in the direction of the settlements of Mala Tokmachka and Novodanylivka.

This was stated in a comment to a Ukrinform correspondent by Vladislav Voloshyn, spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces.

“The past 24 hours in the south have been quite tense, as the enemy attempted to resume assaults with mechanized columns using tanks and armored vehicles, as well as resuming assaults using motorcycles,” he said.

According to Voloshyn, the enemy assault using armored vehicles was carried out in the direction of the village of Mala Tokmachka.

“Tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, other armored vehicles, four buggies and motorcycles, as well as several dozen personnel were involved. The Ukrainian defense forces successfully repelled this attack, destroying a tank, damaging combat vehicles, destroying four buggies and a motorcycle, and killing more than 30 enemy personnel,” the spokesman said.

In addition, the Defense Forces destroyed a Buk missile system in the south.

At the same time, Voloshyn reported that Russian occupiers, numbering about 40 people, attempted to attack the positions of the Defense Forces in the direction of Novodanylivka yesterday evening at about 8:20 p.m. from three directions with three motorcycle groups.

“In the south, for about several weeks, the enemy did not use armored vehicles, very rarely used motorcycles, but yesterday and today, it is using armored vehicles, motorcycles, and buggies, in particular in the direction of Mala Tokmachka and Novodanylivka. In addition, in Mala Tokmachka, the enemy used armored vehicles under the cover of assault aviation,” Voloshyn emphasized.
