The Ukrainian defense forces have managed to improve the situation in the Pokrovsk direction. The advance of Russian troops has been prevented.
This was reported by Viktor Trehubov, spokesman for the Dnipro operational-strategic group of forces, in a comment to Ukrinform.
When asked if he could confirm the improvement of the situation in the Pokrovsk direction and the prevention of enemy advances, Trehubov said: “Yes. They [the Russians] were stopped back then, they did not go any further, and the map shows their route rather than the entire area they occupied. They were stopped back then, and now the forces that entered are being localized and are subject to destruction.”
According to the spokesman, it is unknown how long this will last, but as of now, the Russian occupiers are being driven out of the plantations.
When asked whether it can be assumed that a large number of Russians have been destroyed, Trehubov said that as of now, this is the case.
“As of now, they are being actively destroyed. The main thing here is that they do not start advancing new groups there, but so far the first line is holding. They simply used everything they could infiltrate behind it for some time,” he explained.
Trehubov summed up that there is currently constant enemy pressure in all directions of the Dnipro Joint Forces Operation zone of responsibility.
As reported by Ukrinform, since the beginning of the day, there have been 67 combat clashes between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian troops on the front line, most of them in the Pokrovsk direction.
