Russian forces strike Kozacha Lopan in Kharkiv region, killing civilian

Russian forces launched an attack on the village of Kozacha Lopan in the Kharkiv region, targeting residential buildings with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). A 64-year-old local resident was killed in the strike.

The attack was reported on Telegram by Viacheslav Zadorenko, head of the Derhachi Military Administration, according to Ukrinform.

“At 11:20, Russian troops struck Kozacha Lopan, killing a local resident,” Zadorenko stated.

According to him, a private home was destroyed in the attack. The 64-year-old homeowner sustained fatal injuries.

Preliminary reports indicate that the shelling involved multiple launch rocket systems aimed at a densely populated residential area.

As Ukrinform previously reported, on August 13, six settlements across the Kharkiv region were hit by Russian strikes, resulting in one death and one injury.
