Another teenager has been rescued from the temporarily occupied territory as part of the Ukrainian President’s Bring Kids Back UA initiative.

The Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, announced the news on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“The 17-year-old boy had spent most of his life under occupation, where danger and fear were daily realities. He faced constant checks by Russian military personnel, the risk of saying something ‘wrong’ that could cause problems for him or his mother, and the anxiety of being conscripted to the Russian army. His attempts to leave and join his father in territory controlled by Ukraine were thwarted by the occupiers’ strict control. Ultimately, the boy asked us for help. With the support of the Ukrainian Child Rights Network, we filed the necessary paperwork and planned a safe route,” said Yermak.

According to him, the boy is now safe with his family, receiving the necessary assistance and support, and a new stage in his life has begun.

“Our struggle will continue until every Ukrainian child kidnapped by Russia returns home,” the Head of the Office of the President stated.
