Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko had a conversation with Latvian Prime Minister Evika Siliņa, during which they discussed Ukraine’s EU accession and continued security, defense, and humanitarian support.
The head of Ukrainian government said this in a post on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“A good conversation with Latvian Prime Minister Evika Siliņa. I thanked Latvia for its unwavering support for Ukraine and its participation in the Coalition of the Willing. Latvia supports the Ukrainian President’s position that Ukraine and Moldova must not be separated in the EU accession process. This is vital for the security of Southeastern Europe and the Black Sea,” she wrote.
Svyrydenko noted that they also discussed further cooperation in the areas of security, defense, and humanitarian aid.
“I see firsthand how my native Chernihiv region is being rebuilt thanks to international assistance,” the prime minister emphasized.
As reported by Ukrinform, the government will allocate nearly UAH 1.3 billion to compensate residents for destroyed housing.
