Russians preparing to redeploy assault units from Kherson to Zaporizhzhia direction – spox Voloshyn

Russian occupation forces are regrouping their units in the Kherson direction in order to free up assault units for further redeployment to other directions.

This was stated in a comment to Ukrinform by Vladislav Voloshyn, spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces.

“According to our intelligence, the enemy is regrouping its units in the Kherson direction in order to free up some assault units and redirect them to another direction, in particular to Zaporizhzhia,” he said.

According to Voloshin, intelligence has confirmed that the airborne and marine units that were previously on the front line are now being withdrawn for replenishment and buildup of forces.

“He is replacing them with regular motorized rifle units. These assault units [the enemy] will be brought to the Zaporizhzhia direction. He is transferring some airborne units [units] there from other directions, even from the north, and is concentrating them mainly in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region in order to intensify assault operations there in the future,” the spokesman explained.

As reported by Ukrinform, the enemy is transferring columns of equipment, ammunition, and personnel to the Zaporizhzhia direction.
